Continuing his successful in pop culture, politics and media, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will now reportedly star in a video game as well.
According to a recent announcement from the former Terminator star, he has partnered with comic book legend Stan Lee to create a new cartoon titled The Governator. The comic's story follows Schwarzenegger as a governor-turned-superhero as he fights crime in animated fashion.
Speaking to an audience at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival, Schwarzenegger confirmed the rumors that had recently surfaced.
"First will come comic books, then a TV series, and after that we will develop the games and then a movie," said Schwarzenegger. "Maybe then we’ll be back in Cannes for that."
The video game will be the third for the former champion bodybuilder, as he appeared in the 2003 release Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for Xbox and PlayStation 3 and Terminator 3: The Redemption for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. The new game will be perfect for those hooked up to an HDTV, high-tech computer or HDMI projector looking to fight crime.
Critics have stated the new game is hypocritical, as Schwarzenegger had recently spoken out against crime and violence in video games.
