Gamers looking to burn virtual rubber need look no further, as Activision's newest high-speed racing game NASCAR 2011 is now available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The game, developed by Eutechnyx, features 23 authentic tracks and 43 cars and drivers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Joey Logano, Danica Patrick and Trevor Bayne, among others. Or, for gamers who have always had a dream of seeing themselves behind the wheel, NASCAR 2011 also includes a customization feature that lets gamers play as themselves.
With NASCAR 2011, Activision has attempted to make the virtual racing experience as realistic as possible by including damage modeling, pit stops, wrecks and authentic pre-race flyovers, the company said.
Gamers who want to the most out of the high-speed races can run their Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 in conjunction with an HDTV, LED monitor or HDMI projector, enabling them to watch the action in high-definition, pristine quality.
In recent years, Activision has put out a number of best-selling video games, most notably the Call of Duty series. Released in November 2010, Call of Duty: Black Ops has become the fastest-selling game in the United States with more than 13.7 units sold, according to the NPD Group.
