Gamers anxiously anticipating the much-delayed release of 2K Games' Duke Nukem Forever are going to have to wait a little longer, as the publisher recently announced the game has been pushed back yet again.
It's been nearly 14 years since the game was first announced in April 1997. More recently, 2K Games said the ever-crass Duke Nukem would see the light of day again on May 3. However, now the publisher is looking at release date of June 10 internationally and June 14 in the United States.
"We’re committed to deliver a laugh-out-loud, politically incorrect experience that people will talk about for years to come," said 2K president Christoph Hartmann. "We thank Duke’s fans for their continued patience - I promise this won’t take another 15 years."
When it is finally released, Duke Nukem Forever will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Gamers can get the most out of the irreverent humor and over-the-top action by connecting their console to an HDTV, LED monitor or HDMI projector.
Duke Nukem made his first video game appearance in 1991, and has since been featured in more than a dozen titles, including games for the Nintendo 64, PlayStation and Game Boy.
