Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was recently honored by the Writers Guild of America for the 2011 award for best video game writing.
Assassin's Creed beat out a number of other heavy hitters to win the award, including Fallout: New Vegas, God of War III, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Singularity and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
The Writers Guild gave the award to the game's story writers Patric Desilets, Jeffrey Yohalem and Corey May, as well as script writers Ethan Petty, Nicholas Grimwood and Matt Turner.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was released in November for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As with previous installments, the game follows the battle between the Templars and the Assassins.
The majority of the game takes place in ancient Rome, but cuts between multiple time periods. With stunning environments and action, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's graphics can be enhanced by connecting a console to an HD-TV, LED monitor or
DLP projector.
Despite the accolades still being garnered by Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft is reportedly already working on its follow-up. In November, Ubisoft's EMEA chief of market and sales Geoffroy Sardin told MCV the series' next installment will be released in late 2011.
