Fewer than two weeks on shelves and more than 1 million copies sold in Europe, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is on course for being Ubisoft's most successful game yet. However, according to a recent MCV report, the company may already be working on the series' next episode for a release in late 2011.
Ubisoft's EMEA chief of marketing and sales Geoffroy Sardin did not provide many details about the next installment other than a few possible settings.
"If you've read the comic books you will see that we took Assassin's Creed to the USSR, or Caesar's Rome - that's a good example of what we could do in the coming years in the next video games," Sardin told MCV.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is now available worldwide on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Based in Rome, the game features the city's stunning architecture and picturesque environments, which can best be displayed on an HD-TV, an LED monitor or from an HDMI projector.
According to MCV, the Assassin's Creed series has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide to date, and could is on track to sell as many as 30 million by the end of next year.
