Formula One’s official video game F1 2010 was released to retail stores across the world this week, shipping approximately 2 million units worldwide.
The follow-up to last year’s F1 2009, F1 2010 is available for the PlayStation 3 and PC and introduces the Formula One series to the Xbox 360. F1 2010 represents developer Codemasters’ biggest release to date.
F1 2010 allows gamers to speed around circuits in Monaco, Monza, Singapore and features some of the biggest names in Formula One racing, such as Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettle and Lewis Hamilton. The game introduces a new mode called Live the Life, which explores the political and celebrity aspects of a Formula One driver’s life.
The game also features a dynamic weather system many gamers say is one of the most realistic ever seen in a game.
Connecting a console to an HDTV, LED monitor or an HDMI projector provides a larger, vivid picture for gamers who want to get the most out of the game’s dynamic details and expansive environments.
Gamers who have already fallen in love with F1 2010 will also be happy to hear that Codemasters has already started development for next year’s F1 2011.
