Team Ninja and Nintendo will release Metroid: Other M for the Nintendo Wii on Tuesday, the latest video game in the historic action franchise.
Samus Aran, one of the first female heroines in video game history, returns in the latest Metroid title, allowing gamers to use new melee attacks and the unique Diffusion Beam to defeat enemies.
The entire game takes place on a single Galactic Federation vessel, which contains a variety of locations and new enemies to conquer.
Players will have the ability to to switch from a third-person perspective to a first-person view seamlessly and at any time. Although there are new camera angles and gadgets for gamers to enjoy, Metroid developers have maintained many of the classic traditions that made the earlier installments of the game so popular, such as atmosphere, exploration and a strong storyline.
The richly detailed environments and high-end graphics are ideal for individuals who connect their Wii to a high-definition TV, LED monitor or HDMI
gaming projector. Traversing through icy environments or jungle settings in HD will make gamers feel more immersed in the story.
Although the game will be released in the U.S. on Tuesday, European players will have to wait until Sept. 3 to get their hands on the newest Metroid title.
