LEGO Harry Potter leaves reviewers spellbound

The new Harry Potter adventure offers fan a chance to explore the ins and outs of HogwartsHarry Potter fanatics won’t have to wait until the November release of the series’ seventh film to return to Hogwarts.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 enables gamers to explore J.K. Rowling’s magical universe by allowing them to attend lessons, traverse Diagon Alley and enter the Forbidden Forest.

The different scenic locations have IGN reviewer Greg Miller impressed, as he said the game won him “over with gorgeous environments.” Fans of the franchise can connect their consoles to an LED television, high-definition monitor or gaming projector and watch spells fly through the air in high-quality, cutting edge displays.

Gamers will get to follow the storyline of the first four books as they control the LEGO-made title character. In addition to Harry, Ron and Hermione are all playable characters, allowing individuals to reenact exciting scenes from the books with their favorite personalities. According to IGN’s review, the game is similar to other titles in the LEGO franchise, but its unique spell system helps separate it from others in the genre.

Batman, Star Wars, Rock Band and Indiana Jones are other major series that have entered the LEGO realm. Both LEGO Batman and LEGO Rock Band were highly touted games, receiving scores of 77 and 80 out of 100, respectively, on Metacritic.ADNFCR-3190-ID-19866673-ADNFCR
