Capcom recently released screen shots of its latest crossover game, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, on its blog, displaying its newly designed graphics, USA Today reports.
Developers of the game - the fifth installment in the series - have turned their attention to the graphics during game play. The screen shots effectively display the game's new moving comic graphics that resemble illustrations straight out of a comic book.
In its blog, Capcom states that it wanted the effects to have a "hand-drawn" feel. Gamers and comic book lovers that hook their console up to an HDTV, high-definition computer or HDMI projector will be in for quite a ride. Keeping it true to comic book form, some moves that characters perform will show pages rips on the screen.
The game will feature many of the same characters in the past, but Capcom has stated that it will incorporate newer ones, hoping to have 30 available to choose from. The company has also promised that the game will include three-on-three tag team fighting as a new function.
Capcom plans to release the game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 during spring 2011. The original game in the series, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, debuted in 1996.
