With nearly 10 months to go before the game's release, photos of Gears of War 3 made their way across the web recently, depicting similar characters and graphics as the previous engaging installments in the series, GameRant reports.
While the pictures themselves don't attempt to show anything new to the series' fan base, they still do show just enough to increase anticipation and curiosity. In the stills, old characters inhabit new landscapes with never-before-seen weapons, all looking crystal clear with the game's terrific graphics. Gamers that hook up to large screen TVs or computers and HDMI projectors will have quite an experience on their hands.
Reportedly, new additions to the game include the ability to swap weapons and ammunition with partners during the cooperative mode, as well as the new weapons and suits the characters can yield.
The game takes place nearly 18 months after the events in the second installment. It was originally revealed during an episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, when Cliff Bleszinski - a design director for the game's developer - showed a teaser trailer.
The game will be available on Xbox 360.
