Last week, Sony announced the follow-up to its 2008 Playstation cult-classic video game, LittleBigPlanet, which will be released later this year, the New York Daily News reports.
The puzzle platform game continues to follow the miniature sock puppets in their over-sized world and will provide users with many more playing options. Players are able to develop their own games, like shooters, racing games and others in addition to the regular storyline narrative the game's users can follow.
Developed by Media Molecule, the new installment includes more elaborate tools for creating levels and much better graphics, perfect for players using HDTVs, large computer screens or HDMI projectors.
"LittleBigPlanet 2 will provide a whole new collection of tools and rules for fans to play, create, and share, including an evolved approach to control and customization that has never been seen before," Eric Levine, a spokesperson for Sony said, the New York Daily News relays.
The original game has sold more than three million copies worldwide as of March 2010, GameSpot reports.
