Marvel vs. Capcom 3's graphics engine on display at preview event

High-definition graphics will be among Marvel vs. Capcom 3's top selling points when it is released to the public, although that may not happen for some time, according to USA Today.
Seth Killian, a Capcom special assistant, told the newspaper that "as you can see, this is the biggest engine a fighting game has ever had under the hood, when it comes to raw processing power. This is the MT Framework that's powering the game, the same technology that brought us Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2."
The advancing graphics technology being used in modern video games could cause users to opt for updated display hardware, such as HDTVs, high-end flat-panel monitors, or HDMI projectors. New graphics engines and new versions of display frameworks like Microsoft's DirectX continue to push the boundaries between the game world and reality, experts say.
In the case of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the graphics are part of a concerted effort to make the game more attractive and accessible to a wider audience, Capcom representatives told USA Today.
