The education foundation of Millburn-Short Hills recently decided to fund approximately $150,000 worth of technology, staff development and student programs for Millburn, New Jersey, schools.
According to NorthJersey.com, the money will pay for connection fees of previously donated equipment for teleconferencing used at each elementary school.
The new donation will be used to purchase a MacBook Pro, an iPad cart that comes with 30 iPads that have AppleCare protection and six LCD classroom projectors, all going to the town's middle school, according to the news source. Each elementary school in the district will be receiving an iPad cart with 10 iPads and the high school will also be receiving 19 projectors from the donation.
Using a projector for an interactive whiteboard has a numerous amount of benefits for teachers. Many students benefit from using visual aid as a learning technique and, for this, there is no better tool than a projector. According to Sharp, classroom projectors are also beneficial in that they allow educators to display important footage across an entire classroom wall and not just on a small screen.
