
More opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics is on the agenda for the Summit Education Foundation, according to the Summit Daily. The organization, which serves a county in Colorado, recently partnered with like-minded parents to develop plans for increased STEM education.
The news source reported the group will apply for educational grants with the overall intention of enhancing STEM education for local students. Accordingly, the organization has considered hiring a science and technology coordinator to help draft concise education plans before sending them to various learning foundations.
If the county is lucky enough to receive STEM grants, local teachers may find an influx of educational technology in their classrooms. Epistemological experts say advanced devices empower scientific learning initiatives, and teachers with this goal in mind may consider using grant money to purchase a high-tech computer, an iPad or a
DLP projector.
The organization that bringing STEM education to its county will be an involved effort requiring a certain degree of hard work.
"The Summit Education Foundation wants to bring resources to the district," Summit Education Foundation founder Chris Renner told the media outlet. "Bringing resources is very different than bringing in a kit for teachers."
