Recently, a substantial grant was delivered to 29 schools in Arizona through the Learning Grants by SRP program, reported the San Tan Valley Today. The funds will be used to purchase new classroom technologies and foster student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The grant money will be used in innovative ways based on the intentions of each individual school. According to the news source, some schools will use the money to enact robotics programs for their students, while others will use it to pair technological learning with ecological concepts.
Additionally, Lauren's Institute for Education in Gilbert, Arizona, will use some of the money to buy an interactive whiteboard to empower its students with special needs. In the future, these educators may also consider purchasing a 3D computer program, an e-reader or a
DLP projector.
According to the San Tan Valley Times, the funds donated by SRP will total $124,000. Each year, the organization gives more than $1.3 million to educational initiatives.
