When students of the Jewish Academy in Orlando, Florida, return from their summer vacation, they will be greeted by new technology, reported Heritage.
Students in grades four through eight will each be given a new iPad 2, according to the news source. Additionally, schoolchildren in lower grade levels will find a one-to-one distribution ratio of MacBooks in their respective classrooms. The program will be paid for by the Katzen Technology Grant program, which has provided the institution with cutting-edge technology for the past 15 years.
"Through our dedicated technology department and our creative teachers, Jewish Academy will be able to take learning to a whole new level for its students in the upcoming school year," Lynne Shefsky, the head of school, told the media organization.
Teachers looking to get the most out of their new technology may consider purchasing supplementary applications and devices, such an Apple HDMI output adapter, a high-tech software program or a new classroom projector.
Heritage reports academy teachers will receive additional technology training before the program is scheduled to start.
