Portsmouth School District in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, recently received a $33,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to fund 10 innovative education projects, SeacoastOnline reports.
According to the report, projects are designed to connect students to the community, and include student job fairs, the construction of a library and the introduction of educational technology in the classroom.
Portsmouth High School will use its portion of the Fund for Excellence grant to support the Interactive Research for the 21st Century Learner project, which teaches students how to compose more effective research papers and oral presentations through technology.
