According to the news provider, the donation covered the entire wish list posted by Middlesex County teachers and administrators on the online charity organization DonorsChoose.org.

Among the items provided include a set of conga drums for the Academy Learning Center in Monroe, 25 personal dry erase boards for the New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School and a classroom projector for special needs students in Carl Sandbury Middle School in Old Bridge.

"Our mission is to give back to the counties where our bank does business," said Provident Bank Foundation executive director Kendall Warsaw. "The wish list ran the gamut. All kids, no matter their socioeconomic status, are losing out because of budget cuts these days."

DonorsChoose.org has helped schools across the country obtain the resources needed to fund new purchases. U.S. Cellular recently donated $1 million through the website for its Calling All Teachers campaign to help schools buy new technology, including computers, a document camera or an HDMI projector for the classroom.
