"It's the student that will benefit, and the time and effort it took to put together [is amazing]," said Melissa Berman McDonald, a Braintree School Committee member. "It's a great program."

According to the Boston Globe, the Braintree Fund for Education has raised more than $200,000 since 2006 to help the school district purchase new technology and allow its students to gain an educational edge. In its fourth year, the volunteer group has helped the district purchase more than 100 classroom projectors, as well as fund training for more than 100 teachers.
