Through MegaMeeting.com, educators can connect classrooms throughout the district to conduct shared lessons. Video feeds can be enhanced by using the technology in conjunction with a classroom projector. The Grant Parish School Board in Louisiana has implemented a videoconferencing system into classrooms to expand student resources and enhance communication efforts between the district's nine public schools.

In a recent press release, web-based videoconferencing solutions provider MegaMeeting.com said the school board is using its services to provide teachers and students with additional education tools.

Through MegaMeeting.com, educators can connect classrooms throughout the district to conduct shared lessons, the company said. The service also allows the school board to conduct meetings and share presentations online.

Educators can improve their videoconferencing experience by connecting their classroom computer to an HD-TV, an LED monitor or an HDMI projector to enhance video feeds and incorporate a wider audience.

"We will soon be using [MegaMeeting.com] to offer classes at high schools with populations that do not have enough students to make a class," said Grant Parish School Board media specialist David Smith.

MegaMeeting.com said its services are being used by educational institutions all over the world. Schools can use videoconferencing to allow students to go on "virtual field trips," reducing the cost of travel and connect to other students thousands of miles away.
