The new Fivay High school campus in Pasco County, Florida will offer its students access to many new technologies and building luxuries, according to WTSP News.
The school has recently installed a brick courtyard, a coffee bar in the library and added LCD
classroom projectors to every classroom.
Instead of chalkboards, teachers can plug in their iPods to projectors and display videos for the whole class. The school has invested in laptop and iPad carts as a way of creating a hands-on learning environment that exposes students to advanced technology.
Pascos Superintendent Heather Fiorentino told the news provider the school has consciously explored different learning techniques that will interest and help students, as opposed to relying on more conventional or outdated educational strategies.
Schools throughout the U.S. have invested resources into new technology as a way of promoting a more interactive learning experience for students. Using smartboards and other smart technology in conjunction with a
USB projector has enabled educators to create a fun atmosphere in which students can use technological tools they may see again after they graduate.
