Nonprofits can improve their outdated technology by purchasing items such as a new energy-efficient printer, LED monitor or DLP projector for videoconferencing and presentations.Nonprofit organization NPower Pennsylvania has received a $20,000 pledge from software corporation SAP to help fund the organization’s mission to ensure all nonprofits in the area can use technology to better serve the community.

NPower PA is an organization that helps nonprofits in the Philadelphia region to leverage their resources and make effective use of technology in their day-to-day operations. The organization attempts to bridge the gap between the technology resources of nonprofits and for-profit companies.

According to a press release, SAP and NPower PA hope to draw attention to the needs of nonprofits and raise over $200,000 to help support them.

NPower PA stated that technology plays a crucial role in almost every service a nonprofit delivers, yet they typically are not able to afford it. Nonprofits can improve their outdated technology by purchasing items such as a new energy-efficient printer, LED monitor or DLP projector for videoconferencing and presentations.

SAP made its pledge as part of NPower PA’s Nonprofit Technology Awards Luncheon, which will take place on November 12. The event will bring together individuals and organizations that are interested in improving nonprofit organizations in the community.
