The Dodge City Public Library will hold a video conference class to teach people about contemporary music devices. The Dodge City Public Library in Dodge City, Kansas, will hold a video conference class to teach people about contemporary music devices, the Dodge City Daily Times reports.

On Wednesday, the library will connect to Salina Public Library via videoconferencing to give attendees an introduction to music tools such as mp3s, media players and online music services.

Organizations such as libraries and businesses can use videoconferencing as an inexpensive solution to connecting to other organizations and sharing valuable resources and information. To maximize videoconferencing, an organization might connect a computer to an HDTV, LCD monitor or a USB projector to display live video feeds with clarity.

The presentation will concentrate on understanding how to use media devices, such as iPods and Zune media players, and will also discuss sources for free and legal online music downloading.

The library also offers books in mp3 formats and has downloadable music and books available through the state’s Audiobooks, Music and More! program.
